was raised by two loud boisterous artistic Italian immigrants. Both of my parents were painters. My mother did oil paintings on canvas of country landscapes and my father was a house painter by trade. Our house was full of color, art and food…… a lot of fresh home made Italian meals.
Every room had its own color pallet and artwork yet some how they all blended well. It worked together to curate a whole house feel of vibrance and togetherness
Because if this I grew up with a strong understanding of color and a love of food. I picked food and started my career as a Cafe owner.
I loved this job. It taught me everything I know about the importance of good quality ingredients, customer service and presentation. My favorite part of this job was artistically plating food and seeing the excitement of my clients when they received their meals.
After having kids I returned to my love of Home Decor/Color and began my career as an Interior Designer.
I loved this job too. Creating visually entertaining spaces that give folks a strong desire want to come home, unwind and be in a place that has been curated specifically for them is where I honed my craft as an Interior Designer. Ive always loved the marriage between Rustic and Refined. A little bit of new with a hint of old just sort of compliment each other.
Creating visually entertaining spaces that give folks a strong desire want to come home, unwind and be in a space that’s curated specifically for them is where I honed my craft as a an Interior Designer. But still there was something missing. I loved food, entertaining, color and design.
To me there is nothing more beautiful and inviting that an artistically designed holiday table. Its canvas for self expression that sends an invitation for people to gather and celebrate.
I believe the measure of true success is in the wonderful memories we make with the people we love. My love of Design and Celebration really paved the road to the career pivot that lead me to Event Design. Each and every event is unique. With my deep understanding of color, aesthetic and food they all have the potential to be both beautiful and entertaining.
Through intentional Event Design we can really curate a mood/a vibe that sets a stage for a how people will feel and celebrate at their own event. Whether it’s a bubbly first birthday celebration, a romantic wedding, a somber end of life celebration or a rustic family picnic each event starts with one Key Element.
What is the feeling behind the reason to celebrate (love, joy, sadness)? My clients and I get to know each other really well throughout this design process. Together we create a beautifully unique event based on the each individual person.
What they can bring to one of my events. My answer is always the same…. “Just your fabulous selves”
Hiring an event designer allows clients to utilize my attention to detail, knowledge and expertise to create breathtakingly beautiful events that are both entertaining and memorable for all
